Description
Cumbrian based firm Lakeland has opened an extension to its distribution centre on the Westmorland Business Park. The move has created a 50pc increase in storage capacity for the kitchen and homeware retailer. Currently 200 people are employed at the site in Kendal and it is expected that this expansion will create a further 100 jobs. Not all the new jobs will be based at the distribution centre; there will be some at the head office which is based in nearby Windemere. The timeframe for the creation of the new jobs is not yet known.
