Description

Belgian air cargo handler AviaPartner Cargo has announced that it will cut 60 jobs at Schiphol Airport. According to the source, the company currently employs 400 permanent staff and 100 temporary staff. The source reports that the restructuring is a result of declining profits after the loss of a major customer, Saudi Cargo, which switched to the competing cargo handler Swissport. The timeline for the redundancies is not yet clear, but the restructuring is expected to be finished in the coming months. According to the source, AviaPartner does not have the funds to pay for a social plan.
