Compressor producer Gardner Denver Deutschland is to cut 87 jobs at its site in Simmern. The job losses are due to the acquisition of the former CompAir by the US-company Gardner Denver. As reported, job losses are to be realised in a socially acceptable manner by partial retirement and setting up a transfer agency. The labour union IG Metall was content about the solution as they had feared a total shutdown of the site.
Gardner Denver is a US-American producer of compressors, pumps and blowers and employs 6,800 people in 34 countries.
