Description
Slotervaart hospital in Amsterdam has announced that it will cut at least 137 jobs. The source reports that 80 of these jobs will be cut through forced dismissal and an additional 57 jobs will be cut through attrition and non-renewal of contracts. According to the source, the job cuts are a result of financial problems at the hospital and form part of a reorganisation plan. The hospital will focus its future activities on geriatrics, neurosurgery and bariatric surgery. In 2013, the hospital was taken over by a private investor Loek Winter. No details have as yet been published on the timeline of the restructuring.
