Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Netherlands-based international coffee and tea company DE Master Blenders 1753 is to cut 77 jobs at its manufacturing site in Grimbergen. As reported, the company has decided to stop the plant's operations during the weekends. According to the sources the cost-cutting measure will affect 13 white collar workers and 64 blue collar workers.
