Description

Huawei Technologies, a leading global ICT solutions provider, plans to invest Euro 100 million in Romania and create 200 more jobs by 2018. The expansion of its global service centre in Bucharest is seen by the Chinese manufacturer as a component of the Memorandum of Understanding, signed in November 2013 between the Romanian Government and Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.

Huawei subsidiary in Romania began its operations in 2003, and in 2013 applied for state aid of 6 million euros. Its intentions are to increase, by 2018, the number of employees from 800 to about 1,000, of whom 70% Romanians.
