Description
Aluminium Dunkerque, specialised in the casting of aluminium, is to cut about 140 jobs by April 2015. The plant that belongs to the group Rio Tinto, employs currently 619 employees. As reported, the cost saving plan envisages 120 job cuts for the permanent staff (including 65 jobs by means of natural attrition) and 20- 45 job cuts for the temporary staff. According to the sources the restructuring is due the lost revenue in the context of low prices for aluminium products.
