European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Emirates Group, an airline based in the United Arab Emirates, has announced that it will create 300 jobs in Budapest when it opens its second European customer contact centre there in 2014. According to the sources, the airline sees Europe as a strategically important market for its future growth. The source adds that Budapest was chosen as the location for this call centre as the company considers that the city offers candidates with the right languages skills and also has a strong telecommunications infrastructure.
