Italian luxury fashion house Prada has announced that it will hire 2,000 people between 2014 and 2016.

500 of the new positions will be created in Italy, where Prada plans to open 4 new factories in the coming year. 60% of the new jobs to be created in Italy will be concentrated in industry and corporate roles.

The majority of jobs created outside of Italy will be in retail, as the group plans to open 120 new stores across the world over the next three years.

With the new 2,000 job creation in 2014, Prada's total staff numbers will reach 13,500 people - 4,200 in Italy and 9,300 outside of Italy.
