Description
Telecoms Company, Yourcall Holding, has announced the loss of 135 jobs across its 37 outlets in Belgium. Many of these outlets are located within larger stores as concession stands.
The job losses are a result of the bankruptcy of the company. The telecom-law of October 2012, which made it easier for the consumers to change their telecom operator, is believed to be a contributing factor in Yourcall Holding’s bankruptcy. Additionally, an important partner refused to extend the collaboration, which caused the loss of other external investors. In October last year, the company closed 22 stand-alone stores.
Updated, 07/04/2014: As announced, Mobistar will take over the Yourcall Holding sites in Carrefour hypermarkets. It is still not known yet what is the final number of lost jobs.
