Description

Perfume and jewellery retail chain Douglas announced to cut 113 full-time jobs in Germany. Affected are the holding's perfumery and the sales department of its jewellery stores Christ. 59 jobs will be cut at the headquarters in Hagen (Germany). Names of other locations affected were not released. The company did not announce a timeline for the job cuts.

Douglas’s restructuring is attributed to structural changes in the retail industry, increasing e-commerce and changes in customer behaviour.

In total, Douglas employs around 24,000 staff worldwide.
