Description

German chemicals group BASF announced plans to create about 400 jobs at the new plant in Środa Śląska in the Legnica Special Economic Zone. The production of automotive catalytic converters at the new facility is expected to start in July 2014. The investment is worth EUR 150 million.

Founded in 1865, BASF is the largest chemical company in the world. BASF group employs more than 112,000 people. Currently BASF has two factories in Poland (in Śrem near Poznań and Myślenice near Kraków) employing about 370 people.
