Description
Energy supplier E.On is to close its face-to-face selling department, where 450 jobs will be lost.
The company is under investigation following allegations of misselling products in its face-to-face and telephone sales operations, though it claims that the investigation did not require the closure.
The move to end face-to-face selling in shopping centres follows the decision to end doorstop selling in July 2012. In 2011, the ERM reported on 500 job cuts at E.On in the UK.
