Description

Coffee shop chain Harris + Hoole intends to double in size in 2014, taking on 500 new staff. 

The approach to expansion has been described as opportunistic – the company says that it will take on new sites as they emerge rather than identifying in advance a specific number of sites it plans to open over the next 12 months.

Harris + Hoole said new shops would be split between concessions inside supermarkets operated by Tesco, which owns half of the coffee shop chain, and standalone high street outlets.
