Description

Spanish Santander Bank plans to cut 40 of its 400 jobs in Austria. According to the bank, the job cuts are due to changing customer demands and upheavals in the banking sector. A social plan will be available for those affected by the job cuts.

Santander employs most of its 400 staff in call centres in Vienna and Eisenstadt. The bank concentrates on car financing, which has not been as successful in recent times, and product financing, which is more successful, according to the sources.
