Description
Engineering and electrical company Emerson announced the collective dismissal of 111 employees in Nove Mesto nad Vahom, where the company decided to close its unit PlantWeb Solutions Group.
The closure is attributed to the delocalisation of production to Romania. According to the company, the delocalisation is to keep production costs competitive in the European market.
Emerson is based in the US. In its Slovakian units, the company produces control and electronic systems and industrial air-conditioning systems and it provides energy solutions for the telecom and IT industry.
