European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 21 January 2014 jewelery chain Siebel was declared bankrupt. All 36 shops were closed and 170 jobs will be lost, unless there is a takeover of all or part of the stores. The background is a dramatic loss of turnover due to customers spending far less than before the crisis.
