Description
IT consultancy company HCL Technologies announced a job reduction of 160 in Växjö.
This was announced three months after the merger with local IT and computer game company Boss Media. Job reductions are to affect only former staff of Boss Media.
Reportedly, the plans were denounced by workers as HCL advocated a continued activity in Växjö when entering the merger. The company stated that some IT employees could be relocated to HCL Technologies clients or internally to other HCL Technologies sites outside the Nordic Countries.
HCL Technologies is based in India, employing about 88,332 globally as of December 2013.
