Description

Italian wood products manufacturer Alpi is to cut 250 jobs (out of 500) at its plant located at Modigliana, in the province of Forlì-Cesena.

According to the company, the job reduction plan is mainly due to the negative impact of the econimic crisis on the sector.

As announced, the trade unions ask for alternative solutions to the collective dismissals and called for a 16-hour strike to protest.
