Description
Manufacturer of automotive and telecommunications equipment Jabil Circuit Hungary is to dismiss 673 employees in Tiszaujvaros by the end of 2013. This follows the creation of almost 700 jobs at the same site in 2011 with the help of a sizable government grant.
The measure is due to low demand for the company’s products.
The management announced to make regular severance payments and to help employees in the search for re-employment.
The company employs 7,950 staff in its three Hungarian sites in Tiszaujvaros, Szombathely and Pecs. In 2013 and 2012, Jabil Circuit announced a total of 850 new jobs at its sites in Szombathely and Pecs.
