Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 7 October 2013, Polish producer of freight cars EKK Wagon (Europejskie Konsorcjum Kolejowe Wagon) announced plans to create 150 new jobs at its unit in Ostrów Wielkopolski. The job expansion is associated with two new contracts to supply around 400 freight cars. The company is to employ locksmiths, turners, welders and machinist millers.
Founded in 1920, EKK Wagon is one of the largest Polish companies engaged in the repair and delivery of new freight cars.
