Description

Caravan and motor home manufacturer Burstner is to cut up to 208 positions in Wissembourg (Bas-Rhin). The number could drop to 138 with a potential relocation of workers within the company.

The measure follows sluggish demand and the company’s decision to transfer one of its core activities in Wissembourg to Kehl, Germany.

Burstner is part of Hymer group. Updated, 27-06-2014: 187 employees will receive their dismissal letter by 28 July. Only 5 employees have agreed a replacement in the German unit of Kehl, near Strasbourg.
