European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Vard och bildning, operator of primary and secondary schools in Uppsala municipality, is to cut 100 jobs. 30 affected teachers work at the secondary level.
The measure is due to an expectation of fewer applications to secondary school education in Uppsala.
Negotiations with unions have not yet started but a meeting between the National Union of Teachers in Sweden and Uppsala municipality will take place on Friday the 1st November.
