Description

Private hospital company Sana-Klinikum Offenbach is to cut 350 jobs in Offenbach (Hesse) until the end of June 2014. Cuts are mainly to affect service personnel. Medical positions are not to be included in the cuts.

The restructuring is part of a plan to increase cost-efficiency. Parts of the hospital’s service facilities are to be outsourced.

Negotiations with worker representatives have been announced.

Sana Klinikum had just acquired the municipal clinic in Hannover at 1 July this year. The city still holds 10% of its ownership, but has no decision power.

The company employs 2,300 staff in Offenbach. It is a subsidiary of the Sana Kliniken group with 26,083 employees in Germany.
