Description
Belgian railway company SNCB/NMBS announced its intention to create 174 FTE jobs in 2014.
The job creation refers to 78 Dutch-speaking and 96 French-speaking controllers.
The decision comes from the necessity to add a second controller per train in order to improve the security of passengers and workers.
According to the union CGSP-Cheminots/ACOD-Spoor, this measure is not enough to tackle the phenomenon of physical and verbal attacks against the conductors.
