Description

Parker Hannifin Netherland, part of the global US-based Parker Hannifin Corporation specializing in electronic and mechanical motion control technologies, is to cut 160 jobs in the Netherlands.

As announced, the company plans to close 2 of its rubber and plastic tubes production sites.

The production plant in Hoogezand will be closed; production will be relocated to Italy, resulting in the loss of all 110 jobs.

Another 50 jobs will be cut in Almelo. Background is a drop in demand and increasing competition from Asia.

The group has also announced job cuts in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Italy and France.
