European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
BT Italia, the Italian division of BT, one of the world’s leading communications services companies, is to cut 147 jobs (out of 950) in Italy. In September the company announced the start of the collective dismissals; the job cuts will mainly affect the Milan and Rome sites.
The trade unions have reacted to the company’s decision announcing several protest actions.
