Description

As announced on 18 September 2013, chemical company Lanxess will cut 300 jobs in Germany until the end of 2015. This is due to a temporary drop in demand.

Worldwide, Lanxess will cut 1,000 jobs. This is part of the company’s “Advance” programme. Lanxess aims to avoid forced redundancies and announced talks with workers' representatives. As an additional measure, variable compensation will be shortened. Worldwide, Lanxess employs 17,500 people, about 8,000 of them in Germany.
