Description

As announced on 5 September 2013, German automotive supplier Fritz will cut 170 jobs in Besigheim (Baden-Württemberg). This is due to a drop in orders.

Fritz is reported to be affected by global competition and the economic crisis; its production capacity will be reduced by 30 percent. In Besigheim, 110 of initially 280 jobs will remain in research, development and sales. Production will be concentrated in Aurach (Bavaria) and partly relocated to Slovakia and Hungary, where Fritz employs 1020 people. Fritz announced talks with worker representatives.
