European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The company O'cool, specialized in frozen food wholesale, announced its intention to close its 51 shops (31 in Flanders and 20 in Wallonia) and thus the layoff of its 198 workers. The management officially declared its bankruptcy to the Court which appoints a trustee in order to find a company interested in buying the shops back. Unions have declared their intention to help workers.
