European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Valmet Automotive, the only manufacturer of passenger cars in Finland, has announced a hiring of additional 300 employees during 2013-2014. The expansion is due to a contract between Daimler and Valmet to manufacture over 100,000 Mercedes Benz cars in Valmet's Uusikaupunki plant during 2013-2016. The company will also reactivate employees who have been laid off temporarily. For information on a previous restructuring case see Valmet Automotive 2011.
