European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Targetti Sankey, an Italian company operating in the sector of interior and exterior architectural lighting, is to cut 160 jobs (out of 250) starting from November 2013. More than one year ago, the company announced the recourse to a “solidarity” agreement in order to deal with the negative effects of the economic crisis on the sectoral market. The “solidarity” agreement will end at the beginning of November, when the company will start the collective dismissal procedures. The trade unions reacted to the company’s decision by announcing some protest actions.
