Description

The automotive parts supplier Faurecia Angell-Demmel is to shed 130 jobs in its production site in Kennelbach, Vorarlberg. The German company, which is a subsidiary of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group, is to transfer these jobs to Poland, thus 'relieving' the Kennelbach site, according to a written company statement. The employees concerned by this step are mostly lowly paid temporary agency workers.

The restructuring is to take place 'within the next few months'. The company has no works council and the working conditions are reported to be unsatisfactory. Employees have reported unfair treatment with regards to unpaid working hours and  not-granted breaks.
