Description
JMS Mediasystems, a major printing group in Scandinavia, has filed for bankruptcy dismissing 240 employees in Helsingborg and Vellinge production sites.
The reasons behind the bankruptcy are multiple, among them there is the group’s poor financial performance. Out of the 240 redundancies, 100 will be implemented in Helsingborg; the remaining 140 jobs will take place in two different workplaces in Vellinge.
The production will continue as usual for the time being. The liquidator is looking for a buyer to take over the operations. Would this be successful the employees are likely to keep their jobs.
Updated, 01-08-2013: The company´s production sites in Vellinge have been bought by new owners and it is still not decided how many of the 140 employees will keep their jobs.
