Description
Construction equipment manufacturer JCB has announced that it is to create 300 jobs over the next 2 years, at a new logistics hub in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The company is making use of the government's Regional Growth Fund to support the jobs and training programmes. It is expected that 60 people will be employed on the site by the end of December. The site will be the main depot for parts bought from suppliers that are used within the JCB business.
It will serve 11 UK plants and also plants in Germany and Brazil. JCB is a major employer within Stafforshire with a total workforce in excess of 5,500.
