Description

On 22 May 2013 Sensire, a Dutch health care and welfare organisation announced plans to dismiss all its permanent staff (800) and fixed term contract personnel (300).

The recent goverment decision to transfer the responsibility for home care to the municipalities, combined with the lack of information on what exactly are going to be the municipality needs for care in the coming year, is the background of these measures.

In this situation, Sensire does not want to carry the financial risk and has applied for a collective redundancy for all its employees. The eventual employment effects will probably be smaller since there is a possibility for some of them to be re-employed in the near future.

Updated, 07-11-2013: As announced, TSN and Zorgkompas will take over the 800 permanent staff. According to the sources, there will be no changes in the previous terms and conditions of employment.
