Description

Estro, the largest child care provider in the Netherlands is to cut 400 jobs. The restructuring is on top of previously implemented job cuts in 2012 and part of a cost saving plan. As mentioned, the rising unemployment rates as well the government cuts in child care subsidies explain the recorded 30% drop in demand during 2012-2013. A social plan on collective redundancies is under discussion between the company and the trade unions. The timeline of the restructuring has not yet been announced.
