Aptuit, company operating in the research and development area for the pharmaceutical and biotechnological sectors, is to cut 65 jobs (out of 398) at its Centre for Drug Discovery and Development located at Verona. The largest part of the researchers employed in Aptuit Centre of Verona were part of the former GlaxoSmithKline Research and Development Centre, acquired by Aptuit in 2010.
The trade unions reacted to the company’s decision requiring the involvement of local and national authorities in order to find alternative measures to the job cuts.
