Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 24 June 2013, the customer support service company Sitel announced plans to recruit 200 employees for the Portuguese delegation at Parque das Nações in Lisbon.
The company, which currently employs around 600 workers in Portugal, will rely on its continued growth to strengthen its Portuguese workforce in customer service, helpdesk, support and management. The recruitment will start in July and Sitel will target multilingual professionals with experience and training in customer service.
In 2012, Sitel already hired 130 new staff in Portugal.
