Description

On 5 June 2013, the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk has announced to recruit over 150 employees for its plant in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir). As announced the expansion plans are due to the high demand for increased production of diabetes medication. The Danish group is to recruit operators, technicians, engineers and pharmacists. Founded in 1961, the factory Novo Nordisk Chartres employed 49 employees in 1990. The total employment will be close to 900 by the end of 2014. The group has invested 20 million euro per year for ten years in its factory and has changed its working time organization to meet demand. For previously reported restructuring events referring to the group see Novo Nordisk2009 and Novo Nordisk2003.
