Description
US car manufacturer Ford is to create 1,000 new jobs at its plant in in Almussafes (Spain). The expansion follows the decision to close the company's plant at Genk (see Ford-BE2012) to take place in 2014 and the transfer of production of some models to the Spanish plant. The company will re-introduce the night shift as of 1st September 2013. This measure is part of an agreement signed with the unions in April. For a previously announced restructuring see Ford-ES2009.
