Description
Wiltshire Council has announced plans to cut 340 full-time jobs over the next year. The cuts are aimed at reducing staffing costs by £4m. The Council will offer "all staff" the option of voluntary redundancy. It will launch an informal consultation process at the end of May with a voluntary redundancy programme planned for mid-June. The authority has cut 630 jobs over the last three years (see Wiltshire Council-2011).
