Description
On 23 May 2013, Ricoh announced to its works council that it is to cut 338 positions by 2013. Additionally, the company will also propose 90 changes of employment contract (that could be refused by employees and increase the number of dismissals) and 32 recruitments.
The jobs affected by the restructuring are administrative and call center ones, mainly based at the company headquarters in Rungis (Val-de-Marne). According to the unions, the job cuts are linked with the introduction of a new corporate management software tool and the creation of a European call center in Barcelona (Spain).
For information on a previously announced restructuring in France see Ricoh-FR2013a.
