Description

Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB), the largest bank in Slovenia, is to reduce its workforce in Slovenia by 240 up to 270 employees by the end of the year. Currently, the bank employs 3.550 people in Slovenia. The bank entered into severe troubles because of the economic recession and the consequent increase of outstanding debts of its clients. As a result, the bank needs a high amount of additional capital and a thorough restructuring, including reduction of employment.

For previous restructuring cases concerning the bank see Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB) 2010 and Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB) 2005
