The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB), the largest bank in Slovenia, is to reduce its workforce in Slovenia by 240 up to 270 employees by the end of the year. Currently, the bank employs 3.550 people in Slovenia. The bank entered into severe troubles because of the economic recession and the consequent increase of outstanding debts of its clients. As a result, the bank needs a high amount of additional capital and a thorough restructuring, including reduction of employment.
