The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The mobile phone operator T-Mobile is to cut 200 jobs by the end of 2013 in the framework of a saving plan. The management of the company, currently employing 2,600 people in the Czech Republic, has not yet decided which positions will be eliminated via the scheduled downsizing. The firm plans to minimize capital and operating costs. In the first quarter of 2013, operating profit decreased by 14.3% to CZK 2.65 billion. Sales fell by almost a tenth to 5.8 billion. In comparison with the same period last year, the number of customers increased by 4% to nearly 5.6 milion.
