Description

On 15 April 2013 Prime Champ, a mushroom grower company was declared bankrupt. The firm employed 750 employees, mainly from Poland. Since the start of 2007, there was criticism from the unions on the working conditions. In January 2013, the managing director was charged by the Labour Inspectorate for exploitation of the employees. Following the bankruptcy, Prime Camp was acquired by the Irish firm Monaghan, saving 600 of the 750 jobs.
