Description
Clothing and textile firm Basi will apply for a redundancy procedure affecting 118 employees. Workers have called for a strike action to be held on the 2nd May 2013, protesting against the measure.
Updated 08/05/2013: As announced, after the workers’ agreement, the final plan entails a lower number of redundancies (103 employees out of which 44 by means of early retirement scheme). For the redundant employees there is a compensation of 34 days salary per year of service up to a maximum of 24 months.
