Description
Chemical manufacturer Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC) - UK has announced that it is to cut 110 jobs from its plant in Teesside. Additionally, the company is to cut 50 contract and agency workers. The company has said that the move follows a general downturn in sales and follows similar moves by the organisations' competitors. Whilst job losses are expected to be imminent no date was given for when they are expected to be completed. This restructuring is part of a larger cost saving plan recently announced (see SABIC- EU2013).
