Description

Pegatron Czech, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of set-top boxes and LCD TVs, plans to cut at least 100 out of 640 jobs and additionally yet unspecified number of agency workers, by the end of June 2013. This is the second workforce reduction over the last few months (see Pegatron-PL2012), linked with the company's decision to move its production to China. The job cuts are also attributed to the loss of key customers. The management has decided to cease the production and operate the site as a service and repair center.
