Description

Johnson Controls, an American manufacturer of motor vehicle components, is to cut 135 jobs at its production site in Mandling (Styria). One of the three production lines for the production of foam parts for car seats is to be closed down, thus making 70 permanent employees and all 65 temporary workers redundant. This restructuring is attributed to the low production volume in the European automotive industry. Negotiations with the works council on a social plan are to commence soon.
